HISTORY
The Bell County Blaze was founded in 2014 by Captain Kumalo Bogan and his wife Lashonda Bogan. Coach Kumalo has been working with youth in some capacity for over 15 years, working in youth detention facilities, working with foster children, and coaching youth sports. The Bogans believed in providing a youth organization that is not only about sports, but also about mentorship, community service, and an amazing family atmosphere. The Blaze organization is built on "giving back" and developing young men and women in the surrounding areas of Central Texas. Current President Otis Kent is ensuring the organzation stays on path with this ideal, and along with the Blaze Board, is ushering in the next era of great youth in Central Texas!
